Spain, a world of culture, architecture, food, wine and language -Segovia

As soon as we crossed the border into Spain we started listening to Spanish on our iPod, in the car, alternating with local radio. Segovia was our first destination. Our breath was taken away by the aqueduct that dominates the town. The old town of Segovia, its houses with walls?? the colour of sand and brick, is charming and yet full of life as Spanish people go about their main objective in life, to have a good time. We did our bit, with tapas and delicious food including the cochonillo, suckling pig.

We tried to visit El Escorial the on a Monday, but it was closed. We found a golf course next door and played a wonderful round of golf instead.

More to follow.
